To say that we have a spectacular wine cellar is an understatement. Its sensual round-shaped walls exuding the intoxicating aromas of local woods, are only the introduction to the surprising and revolutionary tones of Mexican wines. Little is still known abroad about the unique grapes grown only in certain regions of Mexico, which give life to our magnificent Nebbiolo, Grenache, Shiraz and Mexican Cabernet.
Avid to honor the idiosyncrasy, culture and talent of the hands of the local artisans, Chablé is pleased to bring some of their unique pieces to you. Hand-made bags, shawls, hammocks, baskets, etc. are available if you decide to take some home. Different members of the community are invited once a week to showcase their work.
This “House of Heat” is the Mesoamerican version of a sweat lodge. It was used as part of a curative ceremony thought to purify the body after exertion, such as after a battle or a ball game. It was also used for healing the sick, improving general health, and for women reproductive purposes.
The Temazcal experience at Chablé is designed to relax and cleanse the nervous system, help to eliminate fat and toxins and stimulate the digestive and respiratory systems. A ceremony for couples. Ritual of the Goddess Ixchel as Weaver and Adult Woman.
This is an experience of discovery, integrated with an ancestral therapy which encourages open communication between the couple. The therapist’s participation in ancient medicine techniques in addition to the sacred space which the couple will share make this an intimate and connecting experience.
Group ceremony. The Maiden Goddess Ixchel Ritual.
The Traditional Temazcal is a ritual based on one of the oldest forms of medicine where the physical, mental and spiritual levels come together. The powerful energy and vibrations that are at play in creating health and wellbeing in the body are the same frequencies that work in Nature, helping the flowers to bloom, birds to sing, seeds to sprout and rain to fall. In this ritual we celebrate this connection to Nature’s divine wisdom and our position in the cosmos according to Mayan Cosmogony. Nature possesses the innate wisdom to restore balance where balance has been lost, and we are equipped with the same wisdom. This unique treatment incorporates a variety of specialized vibrational therapies with tones, percussion and song to create energetic shifts, and a therapeutic Mayan Rebirth massage to create profound shifting in the body. The treatment ends with an aromatic anointment and the Chablé Circle of Life Closing Ritual to seal and release.
